10th Annual Service of Remembrance
The Gurkha Memorial Fund will hold its 10th Annual Service of Remembrance on Sunday 12th October at 11:00 am within the historic Christ Church Memorial Gardens in Folkestone (CT20 2BN).
This special commemorative event honors the distinguished service and sacrifice of Gurkha soldiers who have served with the British Armed Forces. Everyone is warmly welcome to attend this meaningful ceremony.
Distinguished Guests
The service will be attended by prestigious guests including:
- His Excellency the Ambassador of Nepal
- The Worshipful Town Mayor of Folkestone
- The Chairman of Folkestone & Hythe District Council
Order of Service
The ceremony will begin with a Regimental Piper escort, followed by the Bugler sounding the Last Post and a two-minute silence of remembrance. After Reveille, standards and flags will be raised.
The service includes prayers, national anthems, and the traditional wreath-laying ceremony by dignitaries and members of the local community.
Charity Dinner Evening
Following the remembrance service, we invite you to join us for our Charity Dinner Evening on Friday 21st November at the Burlington Hotel, Folkestone, starting at 6:30 pm.
Enjoy a special Nepalese meal with music and dancing while supporting our important charitable work. Tickets are £40.00 per person.
