Folkestone Charity Coastal Walk 2025

Join the Gurkha Memorial Fund for a scenic 10-kilometer coastal charity walk on Saturday 10th May 2025. This community event supports our vital Computer Technology Education Project, bringing modern learning opportunities to rural schools in Nepal and strengthening links with UK schools.

Event Details

• Meeting Point: The Leas Bandstand, Folkestone (CT20 2EB)
• Distance: 10 kilometers (not a race)
• Donation: £10 per participant

The Walk Route

The walk begins at the historic Folkestone Bandstand and takes you down to the seafront for a refreshing, flat coastal walk. You'll stroll along the beautiful seafront past Sandgate and continue to the eastern end of the Hythe Imperial golf course, where stewards will direct you back to Folkestone.

This scenic route offers stunning sea views and is suitable for all fitness levels. It's not a race—simply a pleasant walk by the sea while supporting an excellent cause.

What's Included

All participants will receive:

• Event wristband
• Complimentary water
• Support from event stewards along the route

Our Fundraising Goal

We're aiming to raise £15,000 to fund our fifth Computer Technology Project. These funds will establish computer suites in impoverished areas of Nepal, providing essential digital literacy skills to students who otherwise would have no access to modern technology.
